Parks & Playgrounds

Avon Lake is home to a wide variety of parks, playgrounds, recreational spaces, and lakefront destinations that bring our community together year-round. From neighborhood playgrounds to large community gathering spaces, Avon Lake parks provide opportunities for recreation, athletics, outdoor exploration, and community events for residents of all ages.

Friends of the Parks in Avon Lake supports and advocates for the continued enhancement, preservation, and enjoyment of these valuable community spaces.

Community Parks

Bleser Park

One of Avon Lake’s most popular parks, Bleser Park features the Avon Lake Play Space (ALPS), athletic courts, baseball fields, swimming facilities, picnic pavilions, and gathering spaces for families and community events.

Miller Road Park

Located along Lake Erie, Miller Road Park offers lakefront access, walking trails, a fishing pier, playground, boat launch, and the popular gazebo area that hosts concerts and community events throughout the year.

Veterans’ Memorial Park

Known for its scenic lakefront views, boardwalk trail, and historic charm, Veterans’ Memorial Park features gathering spaces, rental facilities, and beautiful public lake access.

Walker Road Park

Jointly owned by Avon Lake and Bay Village, Walker Road Park offers walking trails, open green space, soccer fields, and a stocked fishing pond.

Weiss Field

As Avon Lake’s largest community park, Weiss Field includes baseball and softball fields, playgrounds, walking trails, basketball courts, a skate and bike park, dog park, horse arena, and community gathering areas.
