Our Beginning

Friends of the Parks in Avon Lake was originally created in 1993 to help raise funds and community support for the original Avon Lake Play Space (ALPS). What began as a community-driven effort to support one important project has continued to grow into broader support for parks, recreational spaces, beautification efforts, and community initiatives throughout Avon Lake.
